Solar Ease

My system from Solar Ease in San Jose is now up and running. The panels and batteries went up pretty fast (within a few days of signing!) but of course it took a little time for permit process etc and all our recent rain! Steve spec'd us for a complete Enphase battery system well over what we are currently using so we have room to grow (thinking electric car, heat pumps, induction stove etc) and we are full backup. Goodbye outrageous PGE bills! We couldn't be any happier with him and his crew. Interestingly we even had a recent moment where the grid went down and the system switched instantly to backup with only a slight flicker. Amazing! If you'd prefer to purchase from a local bay area company that will give you a solid price, without the usual slimy solar salesperson antics, plus amazing customer service, I can't recommend them enough!

Steve was great to work with through our entire residential solar installation. Very knowledgeable and responsive, good products, great to work with. We got multiple quotes prior to choosing Solar Ease and were very happy we went with him. Highly recommend!

Steve did a great job installing my solar at my house. He was always on the schedule and prompt with phone calls and communicating with the progress was going to be like at different periods of project.

One thing to remember when you're looking for solar is that when you have questions and you're choosing a company that with the bigger outfits you're going to get a customer service half the time

I never realized how much was involved with Permitting, City inspectors, PGE and scheduling.

We chose Steve and his company Solar Ease for our home solar installation project because of his responsiveness to our questions, patience in guiding us through the complexities of solar installation, and knowledge of the product he sells.

During the installation we found that Steve not only keeps a great relationship and communication with his customer and handled all the unexpected challenges of the install like a pro, but he also has a great relationship with his crew. When one of our panels wasn't coming online he not only was able to troubleshoot the problem quickly, but he also jumped up on the ladder to go fix it himself without having to wait for one of his workers to come back.

I like to work with small business owners because I hope I will receive a superior attention to detail and customer service and Steve did not disappoint in those departments. Steve did not ask me to write this review, but I like to give credit where credit is due and highly encourage others to give him a call if you are considering a solar project.

Worked with Steve who communicated well through the pandemic to get us through all the steps from pitch to install to approval to operation. Solar Ease came in more reasonably priced than competitors and matched any warranties from others. Steve kept checking in to make sure the system was working and fixed any issues that came up.

In short, I chose Solar Ease because Steve was honest, knowledgeable, and prompt.

Solar isn't simple as you'd think; Steve applies his knowhow and experience to give you the most effective system for your money. My first meeting with Steve was extremely informative on what I needed. There were no fluffy statements like "we're the top rated solar installer, etc" like what I heard from other companies.

At the end of the day, you're going to have a bunch of installers working on our roof. As a local business, Steve has tight controls on who works for him because quality matters and has a direct impact on the company's reputation. Compare that to larger scale national and regional companies that have a large list of subcontractors with a large variance of quality. If you add the time and cost overhead of a large company. It becomes a no brainer that you should chose Solar Ease.

I been doing research on the proper solar system to go with for one year now.
Steve was one of the first guys I called, he was a very honest, ethical, punctual and below market pricing, I thought it was to good to be true.
I met with 11 other companies and Steve by far was the best.
We just completed the project and he way under estimated the productivity I am getting

After considering a couple of bids from some of the larger Solar companies, I was hoping to find a small business that I might be able to support. The larger companies just seemed to be a bit slimy. I searched yelp and read the reviews on Solar Ease and decided to give Steve a call. I am glad I did.

Steve impressed me immediately with his knowledge of Solar as well as the requirements to hook up to my current electrical panel. During his first visit, as he was inspecting my electrical panel, Steve found that my panel was not to code and needed to be re-laid out along with some breakers switched out to be to code. Following the visit, Steve sent me a quote that was better than all the other bids. He also mentioned that if he won the business that he would clean up my panel and bring it up to code for no additional money. WOW! That doesn't happen with the larger Solar companies.

After accepting his bid, I was extremely pleased with the entire installation process. Steve's crew was prompt, efficient and clean. Steve even offered to paint the conduit on the side of the house if I provided him the paint. Again, WOW!

It has been a few months now and the system is running great. I am very happy that I called Solar Ease. Solar Ease is a very knowledgable, experienced, honest and trustworthy Solar business. I highly recommend that you give Steve a chance to earn your business. You will be glad you did.

Steve's bid at Solar Ease beat all others on a per-kWh basis by a wide margin, so I went with him. His guys showed up promptly, got all the work done on time, including the extra electrical work I requested, and I couldn't be happier.

Highly recommended for a great firm and a great guy to work with.

I can't say enough good things about Solar Ease and the owner, Steve. After getting ~10 quotes over the phone and 3 quotes in person, I easily made the decision to go with Solar Ease.

Out of everyone I talked to, Steve was the easiest to talk to, no 'sales talk', and knew exactly what was best for my house. Most salespeople would give me a lot of options, and expect me, as the uneducated consumer, pick whatever I wanted. This makes no sense from a practical standpoint. I expect the solar professional to understand my needs and the best fit for my house, and then negotiate from there. This is exactly how Steve worked. Steve was also the best quote!

Steve was very communicative during the entire process, letting me know everything I needed to know along the way. He and his crew take amazing pride in their work, keep the job site (my home) clean, and actually take their time to make the install look as nice as it possibly can. We didn't want to be 'one of those ugly houses with solar', and we couldn't have been more happy with the way it turned out. We get compliments to how good it looks!

I wish I needed to get solar again just so I could work with Steve again!
